Quad 1

Auburn had a 40 point win against South Carolina. I want to say there is a metric on margin of victory in Torvik that is inflating their overall metrics.

I think the Big 12 needs to do really well in this tournament. Put the final stamp on the “best conference in America.”

Yeah exactly. But I think the season has taken its toll on a number of Big 12 teams. I don’t think as a conference we are playing our best basketball but that is just a gut feel.

Interesting that there are two teams with not just losing records in Quad one but pathetic at that. And both are from the SEC. Wonder why no talking heads or ACC coaches are bitching about that?

and they even get to play eachother. So they’re guaranteed a win between the two.

Utah is 49 today and Texas 29, so those wins count.

We are now 16-3 vs Quad 1.

We have moved to #1 in ESPN SOR.

Question.

When the committee announces the top 4 overall seeds (in order) I’m assuming they’ll put #1 + #4 seeds on one side of the bracket and the #2 + #3 seeds on the opposite side of the bracket, correct?

Pretty sure 17 is the record set by Kansas last year. Ofc they also had 7 losses. Coogs could go 17-3 with a win over ISU.

UVA isn’t that good in my opinion
Their offense is literally non-existent for entire halves sometimes.

Well, Utah is Quad 1 again which gives us 16 Quad 1 wins with the win over Tech yesterday.

Our quad one wins are meaningless at this point. It’s all already set

It is nice to see that we have the most quality wins.

Not meaningless. It demonstrates our superiority over inferior fan bases in the Midwest and East Coast.

There is still the order of #1 seeds to be determined and so nothing is meaningless. We win this game today, we should and will be the overall #1 seed.

Also meaningless

I’m going to be honest. If we aren’t the overall #1 seed I’m going to be pissed. Clearly have the best record against tournament level teams and it isn’t close.

They have some embarrassing losses.

The use an S-Curve and then adjust for geography and to avoid early conference rematches.

So theoretically the overall #1 1-seed plays the worst 2-seed (#8 overall) but it never works perfectly

I will be happy with a top seed and look forward to who we are playing.
Overall seeding is fun to follow but once the ball starts rolling in the tournament it really doesn’t matter.
