Rice @ #15 UH - 11/12/21 7PM CST ESPN+ (W 79-46)

There were over 6800 tickets sold and a lot of folks obviously couldn’t make it for reason or another.
I was happy with the turnout and support for the program.
No matter what, empty or not, those gray seats make lots of money for UH

Old habits die hard.

Some games will have more than others, why worry? The first game was a huge success.

No games anywhere have all seats filled thanks to the scalping organizations.

I was told by a student that only 1000 seats/spots are allocated for Students.

Sounds about right. 200 and something on the floor then a full section. That’s actually a pretty good number for basketball

Seeing UH as a -25 favorite.

Take the points! Go Coogs

We have a good front court rotation in Josh Carlton, J’Wan Robert’s, Fabian White, and Reggie Chaney. We also have a good back court rotation in Marcus Sasser, Jamal Shead, Kyler Edwards, Tramon Mark( when he comes back) , and Taze Moore. CKS will fix the issues because it’s so early in the season. We should be pretty good in March

Looking at TCU’s crowd right now we cant really complain and even Maryland has a ton of empty seats

I watched first half of Washington St/Alcorn, prolly 500 students 250 everyone else. It was really bad.

It’s game day!

Then maybe there should be two different student tickets : floor and stands. I know there are no physical tickets anymore but should be a way of limiting the # on the floor.

They do limit the on floor. They are supposed to be counting. It’s first come first serve

The limit the number of student on the floor by giving out wristbands that you must wear in order to get the floor section. It’s pretty easy to get on the floor if you showed up too late to get a wristband.

We should beat them up on the glass. Fiedler & Poteat are their only good bigs

If Rice isn’t shooting well it could get ugly, cause they dont…what was it …oh that’s right. Play much defense.

Their guards are solid. I like Evee alot.

Watching their Pepperdine game now.

Depends on if the team from the first 32 minutes of the Hofstra game shows up or the team from the remainder of the Hofstra game shows up. We definitely have work to do before we’re rebounding the way we’ve gotten used to the last few years.

We definitely miss Justin Gorham on the boards so far. He was quick enough for a 6’ 7" guy to track down long rebounds. He was a quick jumper

Chaney, Roberts, Fabian it’s on them. They know what’s expected.

And then we need the guards as well. (Taze, Edwards, Shead, Sasser) Alot of 2nd chance opportunities for Hofstra, cause we couldn’t secure the rebound
