Well if they add the planned seats on the endzone over the band hall then they will have no choice but to finally add these amenities.
Pezman and the athletic department will chase the easy money from corporate sponsors and big donors before they listen to any of us regular fans.
Thatâs the sad reality of college athletics these days is that schools/conferences are chasing the TV money, bowl game sponsorships, selling suites, and NIL funds.
These colleges are banking on the regular fans, alumni, students, etc to show up and buy season tickets no matter the performance similar to how A&M brainwashes their fanbase to show up to support a bad team.
Put yourself in their shoes tc. Revenue yield is incredibly important to the program. If youâre investing in a program, you have to take the near term gains (suites) and weigh that against âtailâ returns (everyone gets in free if the stadium doesnât sell out).
No one ever, in any business, said âlet me forego whatâs right in front of me to address the possibility of future potential revenue.â If UH had the opportunity to monetize those revenues now, why begrudge? It sets up the program for the long run. And provides the dollars to invest. Lest we all forget, UH runs a massive deficit on an athletic standalone basis.
Itâs pretty stunning that UH is even at this level. And that is a very pleasant result. When I graduated in 1992, well it wasnât this.
Well stated!
Go Coogs
The score is 1 to 0. I guess we missed the TD and only made the extra point.
Looks like the Roughnecks might switch to Rice Stadium depending on the impact of construction.
Replace the bleachers with chairs. Leave the bleachers in the student section
That would drop capacity significantly.
I do wish TDECU has at least all bleacherbacks seats
After reading some threads on a MWC board, I looked at the SDSU season ticket pricing. I am even happier about the UH value now in ticket prices.
Wondering if that concrete would look better painted red. Or even white. Just seems a little dull and unfinished
That is blasphemy in architecture circles. Raw concrete is beautiful.

We donât have much red paint on the field, red in the stands, or red seats as they will fade to pink when exposed to a lot of sunlight and rain.
See the midfield logo during the game vs Arizona in 2018 when it had a hot pink look but our uniforms look like traditional red.
Paint = maintenance. Maybe just paint the very front of the risers.
If you want to add color, sell it as ad space and get paid for it.
When the architects are the customers they can have their way
You must have not met many architects, in school we are taught to look down on commoners and never compromise our design integrity. I have the degree but have never worked a day as an actual architect, but I have worked with plenty.
That Briles offense is fun to watch.
