Those rivalries except ND v USC are still REGIONAL rivalries.

As I said, ND v USC is the ONLY major “intersectional” rivalry of any real consequence.

I didn’t forget anything, just pointing out that you don’t have to be close to have a rivalry.

Anyway, it’s not much of a rivalry if one team has a dominant record over you.

I would say UH has more of a rivalry with Cincy than UCF. I’m not sure who Colorado would consider a rival in the new B12.

There’s no rule that says a team can’t have more than 1 serious rivalry. Iowa State has two big rivals- Iowa and Kansas St (Farmageddon).

With realignment, new rivalries will form. I can see a rivalry with UH and TCU possibly forming with our upset win last year.

I am not accepting it, its STUPID! Baylor is a rival, TCU is a rival, Tech is a rival, even Okie State to an extent, has been a rival. UCF is just some some school in Florida that nobody gives a s*** about. I dont care if they dont have any rivals, thats their problem. Its idiotic we allow ourselves to be dragged into this. We shouldve said, F*** that, we are playing Baylor or Tech every year, not UCF.

That was 2023 and we did play the whorns on Oct. 21 and was robbed by an egregiously bad spot that cost us a first down inside the UT 10 during the last minute or so of the game.

I think UT is quickly outpacing OU. What made the Red River Rivalry special was the fact that UT and OU were the premiere teams in the Big 12. That’s not longer there.

OU needs to get its crap together and fast. The added SEC competition really is not helping them.

Texas and Texas A&M will always be historic.

Yeah, both but OU ahead of Aggy. For Aggy, of course (and 92010), everything revolves around Texas.

Best rival in the Big 12 for UH is Tech, the two top publics in the state following Texas and A&M. East Texas vs West Texas. Also large metro vs more rural area.

But my Dad went to UT his freshman year back in the early 60s, and said that for the Texas people, OU is a far bigger rival than aTm.

For the Aggies, UT is probably #1.

No probably about it. When a rival school is mentioned in your fight song, that school is your top rival.
