Tech lost 3 of their front 4, including Bailey, the best DL in the country…They also lost a great LB in Rodriguez. I think theyll be plenty good this year, but not as good as last year…Houston has a great backfield and receivers. If our transfers develop as hoped on the OL, then the Tech-Houston game should be a real battle next year.
I made multiple attempts to copy the quote to ask WHY he implied there would be panic, as I didn’t know if he said it because he agreed it might be justified, or if it’s typical of what he’s experienced on the board in years past.
My “quoted” reply would not post for days.
He’s said he hopes it will be addressed by the time UH plays Tech, so there’s no longer a need for my intended reply.
It’s OBE, as we said in the Army…. Overcome By Events. In civilian terms… it’s now a moot point.
He owns the web site.
…and I now, too, agree with his post.
But, for the record, I don’t count the “panic” in game threads as “panic”. I count it as stupidity…
IMHO There will be no panic. CWF et al will handle any issues and we will field a competitive team. I do not want to hear at this stage of the FB season, that we are spring-loaded to failure. Coach Fritz wins wherever he goes.
Go Coogs !
If history is a good teacher, many of our fans will freak out at any hint of a weakness or even a lack of dominance in any facet of team play or coaching.
The self-loathing is deeply embedded by many who derive more pleasure from predicting failure than being positive.
Says a lot about what Coach thinks about new transfer from NM interior lineman Makenzie Agnello. Made the trip as one of 6 players allotted per team. Says he understands he was brought here to be a “leader”, but he doesn’t do a lot of talking, leads by example.
I remember the name now. I should have done better, fumble on the kickoff. He sounds very focused and talks the talk, and I couldn’t understand how a “new” transfer could snag that golden opportunity to travel with Coach to media day. I’ll make sure I don’t make that mistake again.
the North Texas numbers are UNT starters on the OK State team. the UNT/OK St combined is the number of starts from OK st returning starts and UNT returners.
