Tom Herman was on Rome yesterday

M goodness some people will go through hoops to defend their agenda when r stance.

He inherited a great defense and ran a bland offense.

Lucky for him Ward fell in his lap to control the ball. The hiring of Orlando fell in his lap.

Stop trying to give the man credit for a program that was already crumbling by year two and he knew he needed to get out of town after being exposed. Blaming the media for Herman’s failures is a great one. It is no accident the drama followed him to Austin.

You didn’t give an opinion. You made a “prediction” framed as a fact. And once again, you don’t know that. Just accept I’m right, eat some jello, and calm down.

Here are some records ( while at UH ), which is what they’re judged off. Dana got some work to do

CDH
Overall 27-20
AAC 18-12
vs P5 1-5
vs ranked 1-8

CTH
Overall 22-4
AAC 12-4
vs P5 5-0
vs ranked 6-1

You’re emotional and don’t like him because he left for ut. I understand.

And that is extremely short-sighted.

Maybe sometimes you should actually try pay attention and learn something.

There you go again, telling people what to do. I bet your desire to control causes serious problems in your personal life. What’s worse, you cant tell an opinion from a prediction.
Let me make it easier for you to understand. This is from the web.
“In a non-statistical sense, the term “prediction” is often used to refer to an informed guess or opinion”. That probably only served to confuse you I am sure.,

."It is my opinion “He will never coach at any school other than perhaps another G5 or a lowly P5”.

And Herman got two years with a loaded roster before he left while Dana had to do a complete rebuild while he took over (Herman partly to blame).
The previous two years would have a much different look as a comparison. Herman had one great season with close ones going our way and one terrible loss. Second season finished 7th in a mediocre conference with elite talent.
Dana had one great season losing to an elite team and one that we let slip away with a bad half.

Some CTH lovers still cant believe he is gone and evidently wish he would return. The man gave us one good season for which he should be given partial credit then he set the program back for several years with his dishonesty.

Now you’re making progress.

It looks like you aren’t making progress.

That is what I originally said, it is my opinion. It is also my opinion that based on your argumentative nature that you went to law school. Not saying I am right, just my opinion.

I just said you don’t know that Herman won’t ever coach a major program again. And you started throwing furniture around the game room.

I think part of the story is CTH was sprinting, trying to make a splash to enable a dash to greener pastures. Grill. H-town takeover (actually wish we continued this). Concussion drills in bunny suits etc.

While CDH is trying to build a program, similar to CKS, though let’s be honest, CKS is extremely talented and unique (HOF bound) and the build process is much different for the two sports.

He will probably lose the opener then soundly beat Clemson. After seeing him beat Clemson, UT will offer him the head coaching job again which he will accept. After that, FAU will not win another game the rest of the season.

I dont get anyone attempting to compare coaches of two different sports in order to suggest one coach is better than the other.
If one wants to say CKS is a better basketball coach than CDH then I would agree. Other than that, coaching 15 players versus 105 players has significant differences.

CDH has shown he can beat pups but not DOGs at UH. Problem is we will have a lot of DOGs on the schedule now… CDH knows he better step up… times ticking.

I am sick and tired of hearing we had “no talent” and needed a massive multiyear rebuild when CDH got here. Anybody remember the first year CDH was here? Expectations were to take our 50+ TD stud QB and go shock OU again and win a bunch of games and get a BCS game. Ooopss… that goal evaporated quickly…

CDH has been here for 4 years now. In the last 4 years we have had 11 players drafted including a 1st, 2nd, and 3 3rds, Average is almost 3 per year since he has been here!!! Many of those players came before CDH arrived. Its basically the same amount going pro as during the Herman/Applewhite era (the 4 years prior we had 10 drafted including 2 1st a 2nd and no 3rds) and way more than anytime since the mid 90s when we were still in a P5. Look it up.

This narrative of “no talent” is just what CDH threw out as an excuse and others lapped up to feel good about having our “Fertita certified lifer coach” take us from winning 8+ almost every year to giving us a bunch of losing for a while. Yes, at the time he came we were not P5 and you will never have depth all over the field and might be very weak in some spots- that’s G5 especially after leaving a P5 HC position. Good coaches work around that and minimize the negative impacts. But to act like we had no talent or a huge drop off from a few years earlier is simply NOT true and the data proves it.

The fact that we were very solid against P5 prior to CDH’s arrival and CDH has lost almost all to P5 is MOSTLY on coaching and NOT the talent.

People looked into 2021 as where we should be as a program but Cincinnati showed us the coaching and talent gap between us and them in the conference championship.
If Cincinnati didn’t have a season of the lifetime in 2021 and we made the NY6 bowl game, you can bet he would have received a bigger and longer contract.
