Grand Canyon growing and profiting with GC hoop getting their name out there = huge part of the business plan.
I’ve had dealings with them.
Small part of endowing a scholarship there for a professor friend.
Very easy to deal with as we wanted a more hybrid endowment. Its principal is growing and its generating 3 scholarships a year.

Tech would make some progress with those two pickups. They must have some NIL, although those two would be transferring from Pullman, WA and ABQ.
Mahoney would have been a nice sniper off the bench when things get stagnant or as a zone buster.

you noted sampson doesnt recruit white players, because he doesnt trust them on defense. thats wrong
its sampson doesnt recruit players he doesnt think he can develop on defense… any other perception drawn is just correlation not a rrule

I doubt the reason we don’t get many white kids is because he don’t trust them lol.
Frankly. there is an abundance of really good ones but they go to Duke, Kentucky, Gonzaga and Big 10, ACC and Big East schools.
What we need is a Houston grown and UH loving kid to show up lol.
Come to think I wouldn’t care what color his skin is!

I don’t think Mr. Coog was being racist.
He might be wrong and even stereotypical as a Pesik and Butch pointed out but not racist.
The context he was using was as in being slow of foot or not athletic enough to play defense the way CKS demands.
He used a wide brush to paint, no biggie….there are plenty of “white guys” that are great athletes, he//, Sheppard just had the highest vertical at the combine.
