Yea when did 6 episodes become a thing?

I’m telling ya…there should be a law…anything less than 13 episodes has to be called “mini-season” or something other than a “season”. It’s total BS.

Everyone should read Hillerman’s books.

Easy to read and exciting!

Times have changed. I’ve been on a Gunsmoke kick lately. 39 episodes a year!

Fun watch. So much I missed….innuendo wise….watching as a kid!

Same here. Really enjoy the early episodes when Kitty was a 20+ yr old hottie.

The west was hard….Kitty did not age well. :sunglasses: But in the early days….
Matt was no fool.

Finally catching up on Barry season 4. Just heard a great throw away line “no gansters here, just a lot of Chargers fans and one guy in a Oilers hat, which is confusing”
Edit- Season four Barry wrapped things up but it was a let down. Season three was amazing though

And i need to take back my recommendation for Star Trek Strange New Worlds, i liked the first season and saw a lot of potential but season two jumped rhe shark too many times.

So a show I had never heard of before about a month ago is Heels.

Story revolves around two brothers that own and run a local wrestling association in Georgia.

I figured I’d watch an episode to check it out….a couple of days later I had watched the entire first season….as luck would have it season two just recently started and it’s even better than season one.

Gets pretty deep….I’ll leave it at that….

For perspective, I am not a “wrestling entertainment “fan….I wrestled through high school and always thought of it as silly….so for me to enjoy this show is surprising….

Anyway, give it a try.

Only Murders has jumped the shark for me. It’s just silly now.

Women’s wrestling. What’s not to like about that. All aboard.

Hey gang, remember to list what streaming service a show is on to make it easy for us to go check it out

BS High - Max (Formerly HBO Max)

The documentary is about Bishop Sycamore, the ‘high school’ that got embarrassed by IMG Academy (Jarace Walker’s former HS) in football on ESPN. This story was deeper than what a lot of people imagined and the head coach is pretty much a psychopath.

Not a series but a movie :movie_camera:.

A Million Miles Away starring Michael Pena.

Pena plays Jose M. Hernandez a Mexican-American engineer turned Astronaut.

Great story about having the fortitude to reach your dreams.

I was really into Winning Time, the series about the Lakers of the 1980’s. It was just getting good when HBO pulled the plug.

HBO has really gone downhill. Its like they only want to invest in Game of Thrones shows. After how they ruined the series with Season 8, they should just leave it be.

At this point, I have been watching a lot of reruns of older shows, plus a few new ones:

  • Boardwalk Empire (HBO)
  • Dallas (Amazon Prime)
  • Smallville (Hulu)
  • Nip/Tuck (Hulu)
  • Mad Men (Amazon, but I believe it is no longer free, so you have to watch it on AMC+ or buy it)
  • Foundation (Apple TV)
  • Physical (Apple TV)

I have also mixed in some documentaries through Tubi TV and Amazon Prime/History Channel. However, I am running out of stuff to watch. It is getting hard out here. Luckily the strike seems over, so hopefully we will get some new stuff soon.

Dancing with the Stars starts tonight.

Masked Singer tomorrow.

This is a thread about authentic TV/Film, not trash reality TV.
