Frankly I don’t want to get used to the way UH plays defense. It is awesome to watch! But I do wonder if we have another guy other than Sasser that can rain 3s. Somewhere down the line we are going to need another shooter.

You may want to I heard it’s quite tasty.
Sampson has always had offenses that make multiple passes each possession and typically shoot late in the shot clock other than when fast breaking. Every year we are among the most methodical teams in terms of offense possessions, making the other team work on defense. It is part of his plan and we will very seldom score above 70 pts in a game.

Bruh… that’s last year. They shot 50%+ tonight.
Like I get the criticism if we had scored sub-60 points. But we put up 70 and that’s with practically shutting things down for a large swath of the 2nd half. We’re not going to get beat many times if we put up 70+ consistently. Our defense is too good.

you are saying to dont overhype sampson, but in essence you are, you are expecting a team with sampson to just be dominant just becuase
without putting this team on so unrealistic pedestal, i dont know how you can be disappointed an 20pt win vs the #77 kenpom team
if we honest without ourselves, this roster on paper isnt “Stacked” and this team wouldnt be preseason touted without samspon on the helm
in respect to the conversation of the offense… the offense actually looks extremely good for this part of the season…and mark still working his way in…
every year we redesign the offense to fit the personal and that takes time to identify roles
4years ago - it was get the balll to rob
3years ago- an absurd amount of transition 3s
2years ago- it was iso to the hot hand
last year- run the offense through dejon with a focus on getting grimes shots
