The administration should make this a quick and clean cut. They should be reaching out to the student athletes to share their vision for the future and be working on hiring the next head coach. Any delay is only going slow down the process.
Heard a reliable story a while back highlighting the coach’s vindictiveness and favoritism. If even only partly true, by all rights she should be gone immediately. What in the hell was Pez doing extending her???
4-19 in Big 12 games including the tournament loss.
14 games we scored 2 or fewer runs. She should already be gone.
Completely unacceptable that she was able to run the program into the ground for so long without any accountability.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been an announcement of a coaching change yet
Not sure if it was by design or travel, but Vesely was noticeably absent from all the coaches’ updates yesterday. I’m going to take that as a positive.
Did no one at that press conference ask Nunez about her job status?
*black smoke still coming from the basilica
They aren’t going to announce a firing of a coach while graduation is going on.
Look for an announcement tomorrow.
We should get a coach that specializes in small ball. That’s a cheap way to get runs. Small fast slappers. Like in football, we gotta be creative on offense because we don’t get the biggest players.
In softball not a damn thing matters unless you have a stud #1 pitcher and another that is not far behind.
That’s true but was replying to the 2 runs or fewer post.
Tech is paying a million+ to the pitcher they got from Stanford. They are a top 10-15 program now and hosting this weekend. NIL rules in all sports.
I just want us to be competitive and not have all the behind the scene drama.
what’s boring about softball is that it’s all pitching, and there aren’t that many pitchers.
Gone!!!
Oh don’t worry, I’m paying close attention.
The only problem, as I said on the baseball board, is that Whiting has sucked, but not to the same degree as the last three non-revenue sport coaches that got fired.
If that’s what it takes to get fired in a non-revenue sport, based on those last three precedents…then we may unfortunately be stuck.
Hopefully not though.
