Not surprising.
What is surprising is that 2 players straight up quit on CWF this season.
I believe 2 or 3 quit the team last season, too.

Averaged over 14 yrs per catch with over 30 catches.
Might be worth recruiting.

It just happens a lot less with Willie.
Furthermore, just because they “quit” doesn’t imply Willie failed. Perhaps if THEY quit, THEY failed?
That’s just flat out not being raised right.
I absolutely hated the first coach I had in college….was extremely frustrated with several things….never dawned on me to quit in season.
Finished the season and transferred.
I loathe quitters.

There are some real gems every year in the lower levels of football.
I would think a number of them would like to come play for UH, with this staff, and better their chances of making it to the NFL, while playing for a great program, with great facilities, and likely better NIL.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see several WRs from the portal.
I expect UH will also get a TE and a lot of o-linemen. Maybe a couple of DBs and d-linemen too.
I expect 8-12 from the portal.
I think the RB Room is the area of “least need”…

Looking at his stats. He was at Indiana before Tulsa. Played in Cignetti’s first year and the year before that but had no receptions. Cignetti brought his SR TE from JMU which was the main factor. My guess is that he transferred to show what he can do and he thrived.
I think this would be good pickup for us. Show him Koziel’s numbers. We throw to the TE.

I guess it’s okay. He’ll have a helmet on most of the time.
Now that I think about it, if he can block and catch passes, I don’t care if his hair is green, purple or pink…
