There is nothing worse than having those fans around. One reason I sit in the north side , less people tolerate . It’s sad that people feel a need to constantly complain , criticize and belittle tbe efforts of others .
In 2003 we beat UAB in the last game of the season to be bowl eligible. I was so freaking happy after that game. Man that night was cold and windy.
Now we are 6-1 and people are unhappy. I don’t get it.
We move to the top now. I’m short, can’t see Derek when he’s on the other end of the field, so the up top view is great!
Yeah, last night reminded me why I typically sit in the upper deck. Between the guy screaming “HOLDING!!!” on every defensive play and the guy constantly and loudly heckling our own offense, it was not a good experience.
Also, which one of y’all is trying to coin “Big Red” as a nickname for our defense? It’s not going to happen, stop trying to make it happen.
I am convinced those unhappy people are just trolling for reactions. I just put them on ignore unless they post something useful from time to time.
Most dont, they just continue to criticize. Watch out if you criticize them however.
How to put them on ignore?
And UConn fans would be thrilled with 5 wins. Would you be thrilled with 5 wins at UH?
click on their icon then you will see a tab out to the right that says “normal”. Drop down and click on the ignore choice. You can choose the amount of time. I choose “forever”
It took OT to get to that 24. The longest TD drive was 32 yards.
Random thoughts…Even the band didn’t get on the field at half time due to muddy conditions. Slowed our offense and timing way down. Tune needs to get rid of the ball faster but receivers were slowed by wet field.
It was a pretty strange game, but a ‘W’ IS a ‘W’. I noticed nobody has said anything about how the defense blew a 14 point lead and ECU’s offense was running up and down the field on us? Belk certainly didn’t look like a genius THEN and the TV guys shut up about it. I think ECU out schemed UH for a large part of the game on both sides of the ball. It looked like they had us confused for a good while.
As for the ‘it was midnight…’ line it was midnight (actually later) for ECU too.
For the naysayers, you can’t throw out the whole offense in the middle of the season no matter how ugly it looks sometimes.
Having said that, I would be really happy if we could come up with one or two running plays that get us 4 yards consistently. Oh and didn’t McCaskill split their defense and break a couple of tackles on his way to a touchdown in OT? The offense looked good and got the job done when it REALLY mattered.
If I was SMU’s DC I’d be drooling if I thought that would be the UH offense I would be facing next week. I have a feeling the offense will have more plays in the book against SMU. I think we will have a few surprises for the ponies.
The game I watched it only took the 1st half to score 24.
I don’t think that’s fair, given that one of those two TDs was on a pretty short field after a fumble.
Interesting. I wasn’t aware that an artificial turf could produce mud when it gets wet. That’s super realistic artificial turf. I guess you learn something new every day.
Are you sure they didn’t stay in the stands because of the abbreviated halftime?
The offense didn’t score one of those TDs. If you read the post I responded to, they correctly stated the OFFENSE scored 24
Click on their username, click on gray box titled “normal “, click “ignored”, select time period.
Unfortunately I had to ignore a prolific constantly negative poster this morning.
I stand corrected. I forgot about the kick off TD
they had already removed their uniforms by half time
What did McCaskill do before OT? 11 carries for 35 yards. 3.2 YPC is not good for a ball control offense.
And I’m not picking on McCaskill. He’s been the best of the RBs in general. So I dont think its the RBs
I have to agree this is the most pitiful defense since Travis Bush. However, the goal is to win and be a complete team in all phases of the ball. Look at the Baltimore ravens in 2000. They won a superb owl without an offense. If we can ride the defense, shoot let’s keep winning games
