So what info do you have on SA ? Don’t hide it, divide it !
It is a desirable job.
We have the history (not recent)
Our facilities are adequate
There is plenty of talent in the Houston metro
We are in the B12
The money for the right guy should be found. We start winning, more parking, concessions, merch sales, etc.
Imagine what the impact financially of having 2-300 more people at games. That will pay for the salary…
This will tell me quite a bit about our AD. If that list IS LEGIT it’s beyond disturbing and we’re in for a world of hurt in the future.
I know for a fact the reason Hallmark will not be coach….i have shared the information with a few guys on the board privately….not for public consumption.
That’s how I know you are 100% lying.
And there is zero reason for Nunez to have “reservations” about Allen….you did not hear that from Nunez….and he would not have said anything like that to anyone close to the program……
Lie number two.
Are you getting this top notch info from the other persona you created?

I heard last night from a coaching friend that Dan Heefner has been contacted.
I don’t see it unless the guy has finally decided he wants a change……also, it would mean UH was going to pay a pretty nice salary.
He would immediately go to the top of my list ( outside of Sean).
I have know idea if there is mutual interest.
I don’t know much about college baseball coaches, but I do know that would be a freaking grand slam if we could pry him away.
13 of the last 14 years in regionals….a couple of supers.
Maybe he thinks he could make a CWS at Houston….who knows.
But I’m not gonna get too excited until I hear he is actually interested.
Heefner was in running for Texas A&M So not impossible but will take a big salary and investment in baseball program.

The University of Houston approached Nolan Cain and had a conversation for its vacant head baseball coaching job, but “it doesn’t look like a good fit” for the Texas associate head coach/recruiting coordinator, a source tells the Houston Chronicle.
I agree. Our recruiting budget would not be a good fit for a coach coming from texas.
Totally agree with Lowbehold. Recruiting to LSU and UT can’t compare to recruiting to UH at this time.
got to get away from cause they worked at UT or A&M they have access to trade secrets people - those guys have access to resources day and night - little begging is needed so if they fail they really fail
glad that guy came to his senses quick lol - but look at his bio - he has never coached at a place where you have to hustle or even dealt with this type of environment - Nunez may need to stay away from anyone LSU
Agreed
I met Sean briefly about 15 years ago. Seemed like a very nice guy. Please list the reasons for me. Why you think he would be a can’t miss coach! My tendency is that we should hire a coach with head coaching experience. Thanks for your thoughts.
IF this conversation didn’t take place at least a month ago, what the he11 are we doing. If Eddie wasnt way out in front of this opening, that is really disappointing. We don’t know yet if he was or wasn’t, so im not getting mad about something that might not even be true… But some of these “leaks” and speculation are a bit worrying.
Sorry, just now seeing this Randy.
Sean has more solid relationships with Texas HS than most guys combined.
Not just connections, but relationships….he has a sterling reputation with ex teammates, ex players, etc.
Dude has leadership qualities that players respect.
More to add but you get the gist.
There are a couple of other guys on the board they may want to add to what I said.
I read he’s from Canada.
How aboot that eh?
