You tired of Whitting yet?

Love the graphic…

My only critique is the blue section might be a smidge , smidge and a half too big.

Sounds like a quote from the movie Zoolander. I hate it but love it at the same time.

I think it’s largely because there just aren’t many people who care about the program right now. Tony Levine is as great a guy as you’ll ever meet, and you know how that went on the football board.

Not enough interest to bring the heat.

Rumor has it went into the meeting with the printout of the women’s basketball record and extensions and used that as a barometer

That’s dumb! I can kinda understand you might give him one more year to see if he could turn things around after 10 bad years and one decent one, but three more years after the guy is a proven loser is unforgivable! He likes to reward losers for losing, I guess! Man, this guy must be Pez’s best friend or something! That’s why nepotism suck!

Whiting’s buyout should be $.01

What an incredibly poor business decision. Now, I’m wondering if I should send an email to Dr. Khator. Of course, I never received any reply from Pez, or whoever reads his emails.

It can’t hurt….

The comments under the Duarte tweet are “telling”!
I guess we knew the extension was coming, but still…

The thing is, once you determine to keep the status quo, you have to do a multi-year deal, or you’re really giving him no chance - recruiting, hiring and even fundraising would suffer.

In for a dime, in for a dollar.

We’re just making the transition more expensive, whenever that happens.

Well I guess I will continue to save money. I try to always support our programs but cannot see paying to go see this mediocrity continue.

Same here - other programs are appreciating my former Dugout Club donations.

Since we’ll be big 12 next season, tickets and parking will probably increase $5 a pop. That will make not going to games an even easier decision for me.

I’m not too concerned with the pricing or even poor play next year. I’m not going next year because I’m being treated like a mark in wrestling.

At least when I go to WWE there’s no pretense to it. And when they rig the schedule its with quality.

Can you even imagine what next season’s pre-conference is going to look like!?

Probably a bunch of AAC schools…

I’ve been doing UH baseball on the cheap for years, buying the ticket books with 20 (usually) ‘any game’ coupons and parking in the free lot or on the street. If they don’t bump the price much or eliminate the coupon book option (fat chance, I know) then I’ll continue to go out there and watch when I can. I hate seeing us get our butts handed to us but watching college baseball in the ballpark is a fun evening for us.

But I suspect that B12 prices and policies (no more coupon tickets) may push me out of the market for baseball season tickets.

I guess he had to get the three years to have any chance of bringing in decent players the next few years.
They can continue to have an OOC schedule comparable to toilet paper, but the team will be judged by its Big 12 performance.
That said, let’s not kid ourselves about our program.
We haven’t been to a college World Series since 1967 and have only been twice in school history.
Yes I remember losing to Rice and Texas and them going to be champs.
And I remember perhaps our best team losing to a far inferior San Jose State at UH’s field. I was there.
If Whitting continues to fail it will be interesting who the next coach is and how he is able to recruit here.
I have come to the conclusion it is just very hard to recruit the minor sports in the big city but we shall see
